Misión Nevado is one of the Bolivarian Missions officialized in 2014 by Venezuela‘s president Nicolás Maduro. Named after the dog of Simón Bolivar, Nevado (Snowy), this program aims to rescue and protect stray animals and to promote the recognition of animal rights.
Misión Nevada is a spoof of the mission’s logo, created by request of Roberta and Alessandro, the owners of Nevada, a rescued dog.
