Feliks Zemdegs Speedcubing

3D modeling – interactive 3D animation

How fast can you solve a Rubik’s cube?

This is how fast Feliks Zemdegs can.

The above animation is a real-time representation of Feliks Zemdegs’ fastest solve – to date – of a 3x3x3 Rubik’s cube: 4.22 seconds, as it was registered on the Cube for Cambodia 2018 competition, held in Melbourne, Australia on May 6, 2018. It was a new world record.

Albeit the different moves have been evenly spread during the 4.22 seconds of time, one can appreciate the difficulty of the task and, by slowing down the animation, closely study the solution.
