Tim Burton‘s 1989 Batman set the standard both for the depiction of the character and for superhero movies in general. An integral part of the movie’s imagery was the Batmobile, designed by illustrator Julian Caldow.
When I decided to 3D model this iconic vehicle, I hadn’t realized that it was the 30th anniversary of that absolute classic. Funny how things make perfect sense sometimes.
