As I was growing up, “Joe Weider” was an important franchise of gyms in Athens, Greece; one of them was right at our school-bus route. Most of the people around me probably assumed that Weider was of German/Austrian descent, as they pronounced the “w” in his surname as a “v”. Hearing this mispronunciation, this mashup parody of the Weider logo seemed perfect to me.
Many years later, after discovering how the name “Weider” is actually pronounced, I was also astounded by the fact that the man in the Vader suit, the late David Prowse, was a bodybuilder himself. This mashup turned out having an unintentional extra layer.
