It all started with CalcioBresciano (CBS), a football news portal focusing on Brescia, Italy. It eventually expanded beyond the confines of the province, to neighboring Mantua with CalcioMantovano (CMN) and Bergamo with CalcioBergamasco (CBG); all while spinning off a standalone website focusing on 7×7 football, Calcio a 7 (C7).
The creation of all these new local editorial teams established the need for founding a holding that would encapsulate both the already existing sister sites and the ones that would soon follow.
Thus, CalcioLombardo LLC was born.
Working on the logo, the only thing that was certain right from the start was its final color. The color green, symbolizing the grass of the pitch, had already been a unifying element on all the other logos.
When working on the symbol, a few experiments with different numbers of the rounded pentagon that is the symbol of the individual sites, quickly drew out a shape that could have many different meanings: a fan of playing cards, a flower, or a propeller, which will bring everyone aboard to a long and exciting journey.
