Webscream X Morning Kombat – January 5th, 2026

illustration – poster design

Brian Campbell and Luke Thomas joined forces in 2019 to bring into this world their show, Morning Kombat; through the years, MK turned into one of the most lively communities in the combat sports space. One I’ve proudly been an active part of.

On December 15, 2025, Brian Campbell announced that he was leaving Morning Kombat in 2026, with January 5th being his last show.

This was definitely not on my 2026 bingo card.

So, I finally decided to do something I’ve wanted to for years.

One of the posters that can be seen in Brian’s studio is the Floyd Mayweather VS Conor McGregor boxing fight poster designed by American illustrator and graphic designer Tristan Eaton. Eaton is an amazing artist, and that poster is one of the greatest visual creations I have ever seen in my life.

I have dreamt of designing a Morning Kombat piece of artwork inspired by that poster for years, without actually having the confidence to ever go through with it.

Until now.

Beginning at 7 PM on January 4th, I started designing the poster, from scratch, with barely a shred of an idea on how I would approach it.

In about 20 hours, I completed the poster, shot and edited a presentation video, and even composed a short electro music piece for the reveal. It was an insane marathon, all aimed at having the video appear in what would be Brian’s farewell Morning Kombat show, the next day, January 5th.

Sending the video at what was 4 AM in the morning here in Italy was unfortunately too late.

But sharing both the poster and the video on Instagram with both Luke and Brian tagged as collaborators, elicited a huge amount of truly moving reactions from donks around the world.
